It’s that time of year – National Whiskey Sour Day!  So, let us celebrate with a classic recipe that has been tampered with so many times over the years that no one actually knows what the true cocktail even contains!

Jersey City Whiskey Fest

On Friday, February 1st, Jersey City will host their annual Whiskey Fest. Featuring over 100 styles of whiskies and spirits, there are flavors for everyone to enjoy.  Besides whiskies, the fest will offer Kentucky bourbons, Mexican Tequila, Russian Vodka, and more.  There will also be food vendors on site including Chavas Empanadas, Mozzarepas, Taste of Poland, Angry Archies, and many more.

Johnnie Walker Introduces White Walker

Winter is coming!  Too soon?  Not for Johnnie Walker.  This month is the release of Game of Throne’s inspired, White Walker.  White Walker is a beautifully blended 41.7% ABV Scotch Whiskey with flavors of caramelized sugar, vanilla, and fresh berries.  This blend is best served ice cold, which is perfect because this limited edition bottle uses thermochromic ink that displays a frosty message when the bottle is frozen.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Drinking Irish whiskey this St. Patty’s Day?  I don’t know a better way to commemorate St. Patrick!  Invented by the Irish monks, whiskey predates Scotch by over seven hundred years.  Most historians believe that it was invented sometime around 500 AD.  Originally named Uisce Beatha, or The Water of Life, whiskey was first used for medicinal purposes.  And if somehow you entered an altered state by drinking this Water of Life, it was considered a holy phase.  Nowadays, that holy phase is entered every St. Patrick’s Day by not only the Irish, but by anyone who is feeling Irish for the day.
