Pickled Martinis for National Martini Day!

Wednesday June 19, 2019

For being such a big fan of veggies and all things pickled, I thought it was only appropriate to write about delicious, savory, pickled martinis for National Martini Day.  One of the first pickled martinis I ever had was a fantastic pickled mushroom martini made by my favorite restaurant named Bolete, in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.  The smooth martini, mixed with the pickled umami mushroom flavor was to die for!  Now I order pickled cocktails anywhere I go.

National Doughnut Day

June 7, 2019

Summer Fridays are simply the best – especially when the office celebrates National Doughnut Day and we have the pleasure of starting off our work day with a tasty treat!  The business of doughnuts is booming and now people are flocking to shops that offer hand-crafted, freshly made-to-order doughnuts that range from coconut-pineapple to salted caramel walnut.  My favorite doughnut shop of all time? Broad Street Dough Company in Oakhurst, New Jersey!

National Moonshine Day!

June 5th, 2019

Moonshine is a mysterious alcohol to me.  I haven’t been exposed to moonshine at bars, events, parties…I think the only time I had it was at a Lafayette College football tailgate! Recently though, craft cocktail wizards and distillers have been bringing it back and I’m ready to get my hands on it!
