Pinknic is a two-day summer tradition that brings thousands of people dressed in pink and white to eat, drink, and dance the day away in Randall’s Island Park. There will be two stages at Pinknic this year featuring world renowned DJs and bands, lots of wine, (especially the crowd favorite Rosé) complemented by delicious food prepared by local artisan chefs, and cocktails and cider!
I recently had the pleasure of grabbing a flight at Stout Beard Brewing Company while on my way to see a show at the Westcott Theater. Stout Beard Brewing Company is located in the Westcott neighborhood of Syracuse, NY. Its proximity to the university makes for a diverse community: home to professors, students, and residents of all income levels. Westcott holds an annual cultural fair celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of the neighborhood with food, art, live performances and cultural activities.
Sixteen years ago I had one of the most amazing traveling experiences visiting the Amalfi Coast with my family. Specifically, I visited a town named Ravello located 15 miles from the breathtaking Positano.
Cyclorama, or the Boston Center for the Arts along with BeerAdvocate are hosting this year’s FUNK Boston: A Wild & Sour Beer Fest on June 14th and 15th with three sessions each day. There will be over 40 breweries in attendance, pouring over 150 varied ales and sours for you to taste. There will be only 700 tickets sold for each session to keep an intimate experience. And, VIP tickets are already sold out, so make sure if you plan on going, you get your tickets in advance. Tickets for general admission ($65) include all beer samples, a tasting cup, and a printed fest guide. Food is sold separately though at this event.
On Saturday, April 13th, the Harborside Atrium in Jersey City will be hosting The Jersey City Brew Fest! Hang out on Harborside’s Waterfront Property and enjoy New York City’s skyline, drink beer, enjoy live music, play games, and enjoy food vendors from local restaurants.
Take a stroll down Stone Street, the famous cobblestone road of New York City and stumble into a magical world at The Cauldron. An establishment featuring the Apothecary and Pub which is located on the first floor, and a Potions Class and ticketed cocktail experience upstairs.
Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ will be hosting their 8th annual Grape Adventure Wine Festival November 3rd and 4th. There will be over a dozen local vineyards sampling wine as well as local artisans and delicious food!
