On February 4th, Bompas & Parr, a London culinary design studio is debuting their A-Z Cocktail at the bar and in some room mini-bars at the W New York in Times Square.  This cocktail is an experiment using twenty-six ingredients all beginning with a different letter of the alphabet.  Co-founder of Bompas & Parr, Harry Parr states that, “It would be all too easy to randomly combine a minibar’s worth of ingredients and make something undrinkable. The challenge here was to create something beyond novelty for its own sake and end up with a balanced drink.”  And, what a drink they created!

The Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company teamed up with the American Can Company and delivered 2,000 cans of their finest beer and Cream Ale to their customers in Richmond, Virginia.  Since the canned beer was so widely received, they decided to go ahead with production.  In three months, over 80% of all distributors were selling Krueger’s beer.  By the end of that year, over 200 million cans were produced and sold!
